Client Background

The client is a North American mass merchandiser that focuses on multimedia goods. The firm has many outlets throughout the continent and is also active on the internet where it sells to millions of customers every year.

Solution:

1. Discovery and Planning

The research process started with the assessment of the client’s current activities and its competitive environment. This entailed; Interviews with key stakeholders, analysis of competitors and an audit of the existing digital touch points to establish the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats.

2. Development

An extensive plan was to be created, which included digitalization of the company, engaging customers, and enhancing operations. Key components included: All the digital channels were synchronized to ensure that there is a smooth continuity of the online and offline customer experience. This included the development of a single e-business system and improved e-marketing through the sales force application.

3. Implementation

Launched a customer relationship management approach that involved the use of Power BI to assess the customers and launch the right marketing campaign. This enhanced the satisfaction levels and loyalty of the customers. Optimised supply chain management and implemented big data for inventory management through Azure. This reduced the operational costs and made the products more available in the market. The last phase was the implementation phase where the new strategies were to be introduced with the help of the client’s teams. As for the new processes and technologies, we provided workshops and training sessions to make all the stakeholders aware of them.
