Project Brief
A renowned pharmacy chain wanted to replace its antiquated legacy system with a specially designed healthcare software development in order to modernise prescription administration and improve the client experience.
Client Background
The nationwide pharmacy company, which had hundreds of sites, was finding it difficult to meet both the changing demands of its clientele and the rising demand for prescription drugs.
Key Challenges:
Solution:
1. Discovery and Planning
In order to fully understand the needs and pain points of chemists, pharmacy technicians, and IT personnel, we started a comprehensive discovery process. We delineated the functional and technical requirements for the new PMS, sketched out their current workflows, and pinpointed opportunities for improvement. In order to pinpoint industry trends and best practices for pharmacy management software, we also carried out market research.
2. Development
Our experienced team of healthcare software developers used Spring Boot and Java to create a solid and expandable PMS backend. An interface that is easy to use and straightforward for technicians and chemists was made using Angular. Because of its modular and adaptable architecture, the system is easy to customise and integrate with other systems.
3. Implementation
To roll out the PMS throughout the chain of pharmacies, we collaborated closely with the IT department of the pharmacy chain. This required setting up the PMS for every site, transferring data from the old system, and giving personnel thorough training. A support system was also put in place to handle any problems that arose after installation.

Features:
E-Prescribing
By enabling doctors to electronically transmit prescriptions to pharmacies, the PMS lowers mistakes and boosts productivity.
Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
To maximise medication therapy, chemists can assess patients' medication profiles, spot any drug interactions, and offer individualised counselling.
Inventory Management
Medication availability is guaranteed by the system's automated inventory tracking, reordering, and expiration management.
Patient Engagement
Through a patient portal, clients may securely contact chemists, manage their medications, seek refills, and examine their medication history.
Reporting and Analytics
Data-driven decision-making is made possible by the PMS's comprehensive reporting on prescription fill rates, inventory levels, financial performance, and other important variables.
