Project Brief

The project required offering strategy consulting services to improve customer satisfaction and increase revenues for a global fashion company using software development solutions.

Client Background

The client is a popular fashion house that has outlets in various countries and sells clothes and accessories for both sexes as well as kids. However, the brand had issues with automating the client experience and improving their online presence.

Key Challenges:

The retailer's customers were from all age groups, and each style was unique and different, so it was not easy to satisfy every customer.
Customer information was stored in different applications (e.g., e- commerce system, CRM, social media account).
Real-time product suggestions and promotional communications with the customer that are highly targeted.
Optimizing internal business activities like inventory management and supply chain to satisfy the customers’ needs while cutting on costs.
Expanding the current online tools that are used to enhance the personalization capabilities and accommodate the growing number of customers’ data.
Compliance with the data protection legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and safeguarding the customer data from being accessed by unauthorized parties.

Solution:

1. Discovery and Planning

Therefore, our specialized strategy consulting division undertook a detailed assessment of the client’s current business model and market standing. This phase involved interviews with the stakeholders, analysis of the competitors, and assessment of the available digital resources.

2. Development

To support this concept, we developed a comprehensive software development plan that would enable the integration of all the digital platforms so that the customers’ experience in both the online and offline environment is harmonized. To be more precise, Python was chosen for its versatility and scalability, React as a front-end tool, and AWS as cloud services. Introduced data analysis and management through Power BI to develop customer’s profiles according to their browsing history, purchase frequency, and social media activity. This meant that the customers could be marketed to specifically and products could be recommended to them, which would improve customer satisfaction.

3. Implementation

Optimized the supply chain activities and implemented sophisticated tools for inventory control. This helped in ensuring adequate stock was available and also cut down on operational expenses. The implementation phase was characterized by working with the client’s teams to ensure the effective implementation of the new strategies. Seminars and presentations were also performed to educate all the stakeholders on the changes in the processes and technologies being implemented.
